  1. Lucky Day: I see this basically very low on most People’s List, but I think if this will be the Doctorlite one, it might surprise people, even with McTighe writing
  2. The Story & the Engine: Probably the one that will be liked over time more and more, maybe I (and many others) are hyping this one too much up, but I can feel it will be special!
  3. The Well: I have the feeling that this one might be well-liked too
  4. The Interstellar Song Contest - I think this one will be either loved or hated by people honestly, that’s why I put it in the middle
  5. Wish World - RTD First Parter for the finale are usually liked well enough
  6. The Robot Revolution - A Standard RTD Opener, maybe one sightly above many of the others for many
  7. Lux - Yes, while I have hopes, I think this one will frustrate people like ‘Devils Chord’ did for many, but possibly worse. Hope to see myself proven wrong, but I don’t think people going to like this one :sob:
  8. The Reality War

Going to be interested to see if I am wrong or not, of course all of them will be named as the Episode which killed/saved Doctor Who, the best/worst Episode ever!

Alright my turn! I’m gonna do one step ahead and not just put these titles in order BUT I’m also going to predict a RATING for each of those! We will see how close or how far I will really be!

Very detailed analysis of how I gave them ratings

So we have the season opener The Robot Revolution written by RTD. Now this season opener seems to be much much better than the previous one. Well there are some homour there, some mystery with robots etc, some kidnapping too it seems. What I think it’s definitely higher than 3.50. My guess would be something of an opener like Smith and Jones and Partners in Crime was. Partners in Crime because it was a very comedic centric story with a weird alien while Smith and Jones was a brand new companion introduction. And also a whole ass building gets kidnapped there- MY hopes are way high so I am going to put this story in-between those 2 intros and have a… 3.66 rating!

Next up is Lux! Well if this story goes into the same direction as The Devil’s Chord did then it could be the same rating BUT I think The Devil’s Chord did so badly because it was kinda misleading with The Beatles and how easily Maestro was defeated. I think Lux is gonna do better, even better than the opening story so I’m giving yet again a bit of high hope of 4.11

The well is well err the first story that I genuinely not sure if I know anything about this story. It was co-written by RTD and written by Sharma Angel Walfall who is new to the Whoniverse! Well we got some good stories but this will be the one to flop. Remember my words- I will give it a 3.85

EDIT: I read the new issue of DWM and they are very much teasing it to be the best episode of the season- last time that happened with 73 Yards well you know what happened so I’m going to change my ratings and actually put this even higher than The Story & The Engine with a stunning 4.52 Do tell does this count as cheating or is this speculations?

EDIT 2: Because of CERTAIN leaks (if you know you know) I’m gonna put this down to 2.75 because even if the story is good I think people will still hate on it because of certain aspects. Like I said I don’t want to give myself false hope. It’s better to expect less than to expect everything.

Lucky Day is a story that was written by Pete Mctighte who wrote two TV stories before being Kerblam! and Praxeus. He also wrote some minisodes for The Collection trailers and Tales of the TARDIS. Now I can excuse Praxeus because it was cowritten by Chibnall and he somehow wrote the Target version of Kerblam way better but what I can see this episode be is a doctor-lite story because we see the story arc where the Doctor can’t materialise in modern day for some reason so we see what’s happening on modern day in the meantime without the Doctor with Ruby and UNIT which coould have high hopes. Just because of the things he wrote I am giving it a 3.86

And here is The Story & The Engine that everyone praises and it has spiders too? It could be a huge banger or a huge disappointment but I am following everyone and put it on my top with a 4.46 rating! Also it was written by Inua Ellams who is a new writer in the Whoniverse! EDIT: Rounding down the ratings so the gap between them wouldn’t be that big.

We got The Interstellar Song Contest written by Juno Dawson who wrote 2 Torchwood audios before and the Redacted podcast before. She wrote some really strong stories but not sure about this one either- could be really good or really bad. I think I will put this in the middle with a 3.55 rating.

And we reached the season finale with Wish World and The Reality War written by RTD. Now I fear the season finale will have some rubbish scenes in it just like the last one because these two seasons were written at the same time and I really want to give them higher ratings but I’m really not sure. It’s definitely not Series 1 quality and definitely not as bad as Series 14 and Series 3 were. Probably the Doctor finally gets to Earth, then probably everyone dies and undies again. I will be pessimistic and give Wish World a 3.25 rating and The Reality War a 3.05 rating. Prove me wrong RTD.

kind of hope my guess is wrong just because id hate for there to be another underwhelming finale :sob:

I can’t really tell anything about the episodes without watching them, but the series seems to follow a similar formula to the last one, so I just looked at the ratings for the Season One stories and put these in the same order (episode 1 lowest, episode 8 next, etc).

DAY ONE Rating for The Robot Revolution is 3.57 which means I was not that off with my prediction- that is actually quite close huh
