Better or worse than Spare Parts?

I’d say Spare Parts is better. It’s darker, bleaker more dramatic. This one is a bit more engaging, but not quite as immersive. But both are superb stories in their own right.

I’ve decided I can’t compare this with Spare Parts. Both are really very good indeed, but Spare Parts has the advantage of buzzing round my brain for over twenty years. Marc Platt and David K Barnes are very different writers, but both very good. Equally effective in different ways, I’d say.

Finished parts 1 and 2 and this is utterly fantastic so far! Cliffhanger to part 2 is absolutely cracking

I really can’t stop thinking about the music, and especially the music surrounding the part 3 cliffhanger. This story has really lingered with me a lot more than some BF’s do. Idk I love this team and the Cybermen so! It just hit every mark for me.

Finished this just before work and wow! Perfect in every way for me. Chilling, gripping, and a great tragedy with a surprisingly hopeful ending.
When it comes to this Vs Spare Parts, I think the two are different enough that I don’t really wanna compare. As a certain Scottish alien once said about the Cybermen:
Like sewage and smartphones and Donald Trump, some things are just inevitable.

Loved it. As others have said, the score is superb. Great characters & setting, the pace of the story is also really good. Davison, Fielding & Sutton are all on top form. Especially Sutton with Nyssa playing an important but reluctant part in the story. Waterhouse, well I guess Adric has to be there 
Doesn’t quite hit the heights of Spare Parts but a worthy alternate take on Cybermen origins. Another great audio adventure for this TARDIS Team.

Finished the last two episodes today, and I can’t add much to my earlier thoughts - this is excellent, and I recommend it to anyone. Everyone is well written for, the incidental music and sound design is wonderfully immersive, and - for those of us with a long memory - a killer final line!

I ended up listening to this audio at the same time as I listened to Spare Parts (never had heard it before). I think I preferred the imagery and plotline of Spare Parts, but Genesis is still pretty strong
