It’s more that how is it still here in comparison to other stories from this era that I’m surprised are gone! Also part 2 really sours part 1 for me.

Technically speaking, Maxine hasn’t vanished. She’s written 4 episodes of “All Creatures Great and Small” from 2023-2024, and between 2013-2022, she wrote 124 episodes of Emmerdale Farm.
(She also wrote 3 episodes of “The Worst Witch” in 2017-2018…)

Love to see these writers doing other things, of course, but a shame they’re not doing more Doctor Who, meanwhile we have RTD and Moffat bashing out their 489th script.

It’s always interesting to see what other things writers have done, though. Was just looking at Sarah, and she was a writer and producer on the first season of Bridgerton, and this bit on wikipedia sounds like it sums up her last few years…
