Thiin Ice definitely, but where’s the water aspect in Praxeus? I know Suki’s lab is on a beach, but apart from that, does water really play a role in the story?

Pretty much the whole thing is set on a beach. American sub going missing, and an alien base at the bottom of the Indian Ocean underneath a pollution gyre are both major components of the story. I’d say yes, it’s a very nautical story. If we’re including Time Meddler for its one scene with a Viking ship…
Probably should have The Romans too, Ian being taken away on the slave ship.

I thought a lot about Praxeus. I should have just gone with my instinct and included it but at some point I got it in my head it was more pollution and plastic themed over water themed.

I do have to say, that one slight problem I have with the ranking game, is that it can actually get to a point where I’m happy with it? Like if the order is the same as mine, or maybe some middle stories I don’t have strong feelings on are a bit mixed up, I don’t actually have an incentive to participate. In the elimination game that’s easier because you can always upvote your favorite or downvote your least favorite so it does, for better or worse, create more passion

Yeah, I feel the same. Today was the first day I struggled with finding something to upvote because I was pretty satisfied with the list. And unless there are any bigger changes made, I might not find any reason to upvote anything tomorrow…

I set a new timer for a week after it was created.
It closes 2am UK time so this gives a rare opportunity for non-UK people to have the final say.

That just means slow mode ends at that time. That’s not the same as closing the topic. You have to set a topic timer for that.

Yeah but I set it to close so everyone knows it’s done, and the last person can’t sneak something in after the date, then a mod can announce it’s finished and unclose it.
But now it looks like I messed up because to me it looks closed and I can’t see the slow mode message? Dunno what happened!

Smugglers last? You have got to be kidding, that one’s pretty good and definitely better than a few on this list. It just is at a disadvantage for not existing and not being animated. I kinda gave up because I was the only one upping it and it just kept going back down. It just felt like a perpetual losing battle.
