Other people have probably noticed this but… oh well.
I was thinking recently about the parallels of how the Doctor and the Master dealt with the Time War.
Notably, the Doctor throughout has been actively trying to get away from the war only to then be way more involved and even be the reason the war ended. Meanwhile, the Master was brought back for the sole purpose of fighting in the war only to then run away when things hit the fan (mainly his own fault. I.E. The Heavenly Paradigm).
