That’s fair, I thought that might be the case but wasn’t 100% sure between the two options

When do we get to the second doctor in the TV club? Feels like a lot of persons here need to rewatch him. He is fantastic!

I’d love to watch him! If the BBC hadn’t recorded over two thirds of his episodes…

Well, we had the chance to save them but we chose to get more Hartnell. :stuck_out_tongue:

I tried so hard to save The Macra Terror - people are so wrong about that story!

That’s one of his serials. I want all of his serials back. Even the ones with good animations of the missing episode. So much of his performance is lost without seeing him!

It is a great story. I also voted for that until it disappeared.

That is true. I understand that people did not like Enemy of the World that much before it was found. I find it to be one of the best classic stories of all time.

Yeah, a lot of why Enemy of the World is so good is because of how good his performance in both parts is. (And the chef…)

Now I just want to watch Enemy of the World again!

And Fariah is such an awesome character.

April 21, 2025 by my calculations. And if my calculations hold true, we’ll reach the Third Doctor in February 2026.

Hey! You have yourself to blame! You killed Marco Polo! If you had left it alone, I wouldn’t have killed Evil of the Daleks :laughing:

(Two is my favourite Classic Doctor…).

You’ve got to love that thing in Doctor Who where you can’t for the life of you remember if someone who gets referenced is a pre-existing character or not, so look them up on the wiki, see their face and remember “oh yeah, him” before promptly remembering/reading that he got skinned alive by a dragon

I gave my mother a which Doctor is which quiz on the phone, and we ended up in a tangent about ferret legging. [1] She says she wants to go to Yorkshire now, and thinks they may be her people. I think this may be one of the few times in which ferret legging has helped elevate the English national profile.

[1]

In the early part of his career, Sylvester McCoy put ferrets down his trousers (ferret legging) as part of the Ken Campbell roadshow, I think. Pictures are on the internet, but if Handles flags Rose eating fries, I think the algorithm won’t know what to do with a picture of a man getting ferrets put in his pants.

That reminds me. When I was at uni 1000 years ago we woke up one morning to find a ferret in the kitchen! Absolutely no idea how it got there.

Oh, how I love the way the narrator slightly changes frome the War Doctor to 10th and then 11th in the Doctor Papers of The Day of the Doctor. The Doctor has always seen themselves as the same Time Lord.

Just finished reading 400 Years of The Doctor and if I wasn’t already convinced this’ll be a 5/5 for me, that most certainly did

The narration changing there is just incredible, I’m loving every second of this ride, the new material we don’t see on TV was what I was looking forward to the most, yeah, the characterisation and narration is what I’m loving the best

I’m going to have to get this now, aren’t I? And I’ve really avoided the novelisations of modern Who…

Oh, yes, you are ordering this one. Can’t be avoided. It’s Time War. No one can avoid Time War, not for long.
