I realized something yesterday: why are Daleks and Cybermen and such capitalized? We don’t capitalize “human” or “panda” or “great white shark.”
Sontarans and Raxacoricofallapatorians make sense, because those are the names of their planets (cf. Earthling, Martian). Slitheen makes sense because it’s a proper noun (family name). Likewise the names of individuals, like Dalek Sec. But for the species as a whole, shouldn’t it just be kaleds/daleks/cybermen/etc.?

Daleks and Cybermen don’t have individualism. They have no names and are a monolith. The Cult of Skaro was an exception.
Humanity isn’t always from Earth, and there are several humanoid races.
Imo Humanity as a people should be capitalized in this lore but humanity as an indicator of morality is fine not to be.
