I found the Doctor Who Jackpot!
Woah some rarities there!!
Is there? Which ones?
I didn’t buy anything… luckily I don’t collect those figures or it might have been an expensive find lol
I was tempted by the TARDIS which lights up and makes sounds but I couldn’t test it was actually working. And everything seemed pretty overpriced.
A Weeping Angel LEGO figure for £32?!
The collect-a-build K9 Robot, although in saying that I think it got a B&M re-release recently? I’m not 100% but I think so. Stopped paying attention since I can’t get them anymore
That’s really the only one that stood out to me tbh, the Daleks maybe the blue one would be too and the Graske would be too.
I don’t even know where this store is, but that screwdriver is tempting me
How much was the Destroyed Cassandra?
Just zoomed in - 25 quid!
No, I think ‘25’ is the ID of the seller because everything had that on it. It was actually about £10 I think. Still, a lot of money for an empty frame…
The screwdriver was £40! I had a quick look on eBay and found cheaper ones, so I think it’s all a bit overpriced.
In a church, waiting for a midnight performance. I want to win the lottery & travel the world going to music festivals.
Man, the music in Lazy Town goes harder than necessary
Good morning
Sadly there was some family stuff that happened yesterday, so I had to stay home with my eldest and youngest while my wife and 10 year old went to the cinema.
But he was so excited about that movie, and the cinema was filled with kids his age who kept laughing their heads off apparently His best friend also went yesterday, in a different cinema, and they have been calling and texting each other maybe 20 times afterwards.
It makes kids that excited? I’m a fan
Hope that everything is okay with your family.
That sounds awesome. It reads like you are going to have a chance to see the movie another time then.
An interesting little read:
I used to love this site in my teens, but stopped reading during the Chinball years as spoilers tightened up. Safe to say I’m glad I did stop. I completely and fundamentally disagree on so many levels with this.
Interesting. I don’t totally agree, and I think some of the issues outlined are not just a Who problem - TV in general seems to be skewing towards Explaining Issues in too much detail and saying things to get social media hits
“I couldn’t help but sigh at this, because all I could think was, I miss the days when it felt like the marketing and mission of the show was to bring people together.”
Varada is literally just mentioning the fact that her and Ncuti’s casting is going to piss off the wrong people, which it will, and GOOD. That isn’t against bringing people together, she’s just stating a fact, that those idiots who are so opposed to diversity.
He mentions that we used to speculate about monsters and arcs and stuff like that, we still do! Apparently headlines overshadow this, however who is actually paying attention to the rubbish that the UK tabloids churn out, the sun? the mirror? no thanks.
I think calling Ncuti antagonistic for simply praising the fact that the show is even more diverse, and will upset the wrong people, is really shocking. Really not a fan of this person whatsoever.
Could go on and on really but there’s a lot in there that’s just not good. He tries to distance himself by saying he’s “progressive”, however this writing certainly doesn’t make me think that.
I did not have the energy to read the whole article and might have missed some stuff.
I agree with one thing, and that is the hostility around the show, but I don’t think it is coming from the cast and crew. I think it is coming from the fans. A lot of people who say they like the show talk about how they almost want the show to fail. They romanticise a past that never was and fail to be happy about what we have, and it is one of the longest-running shows on the planet and that is really cool.
