Well I did start out thinking I wouldn’t bother with Gallifrey or K9 or Benny, but got convinced otherwise…
Likewise!!! It just happens
That’s when I do listen.
I only communicate to them via the medium of Doctor Who allegories. Kind of like in that episode of Star Trek TNG, Darmok.
“The Doctor & The Master on Logopolis.”
“Rose on the beach her face wet.”
“The Kandyman his legs stuck.”
You say that, but when I dropped my phone in the ocean I was sitting there, on the beach, waiting to get picked up and thinking oh, I know exactly what gifs i’m gonna put on my tumblr to complain about this. It will be epic…
(You might be thinking to yourself. "…Does Emil ever run out of odd tiny-personal-disaster stories? No. I’m dyspraxic. They just keep coming.)
Well, no, not really…
I mean, if you’ve listened to Sins of the Flesh, you’d know the answer to that one
Lack of ability to do this is why I’m slowly becoming the world’s foremost PROBE expert /hj
I try to do small projects. Like a season of TW or 9DA or something else. I also have not started some of the stuff that are supposed to be the best, like 8DA and Benny.
Not necessarily. Listening to Scherzo while doing chores might end you up with a wrecked home…
That’s peer pressure from @sircarolyn and @Tian persuasive fans for you!
RIP Michelle Trachtenberg - 39 years old.
RIP Gene Hackman and his wife, Betsy Arakawa.
And their dog, apparently.
Very sad news.
RIP to them. Hackman was an incredible actor. So many great performances.
Oh, goodness, look what I discovered at the bottom of an old cardboard box that’s been living in the cupboard under the stairs for a verrrrry long time.
I remember having mixed feelings about picking up these stickers back in 1985, as I was going through a phase where I wasn’t really enjoying Doctor Who. I didn’t like the 6th Doctor (something that, thanks to Big Finish would eventually change, thank goodness) and I hated the scripts. Consequently, selfishly even, I felt that maybe the TARDIS doors should close for good. Looking back on it now, I find my younger self’s attitude rather petty: If I’m not enjoying Doctor Who, it should go away. Sigh! I learned my lesson when Doctor Who really did go away a few years later.
It’s a useful reminder that, with a series as long lived as Doctor Who, there are almost bound to be periods of the show that won’t be to your taste. It’s not the end of the world when it happens. It’s happened to me twice now, and I’m still here. Plus, you might find your own opinions change with time, as mine did with Old Sixie. Yes, just give it time.
I love this!
New DWM has an article @BillFiler might be interested in!
I do not have a subscription to DWM, but I am very intrigued just now
It’s an interview with someone…
