I look at those and my first thought is that the TARDIS would look great sitting in that tunnel. My second thought is how fast could an Assassin climb the walls to the roof.

Did you just meme yourself?

Reminds me of this…

Yes - and it took me AGES!

The official website entry for her character says her name is Joy Almondo. Did Steven Moffat really just name a character Almond Joy?

(I want to be more annoyed, but in the doctor who rpg I’m running with my siblings, I may have named a major character Mars Bars)

Mondo also means “World” in Italian

That’s a very James Bond girl-like name for a Doctor Who character  such a Moffat move to make.

Here’s a video from @JoshSnares about an unofficial The Wheel in Space animation, which looks really good! Maybe a potential way to watch the story until we have an official animation

Thanks for sharing

My friend contributed to this animation - he did the modelling for the TARDIS console room.

Good Evening,

My interest in Doctor Who has been dwindling for sometime, and most people will be aware that I went on hiatus from September until recently. I genuinely thought having some time off to become immersed in other topics would reignite my love for this franchise like it had in the past. If anything, it’s just pushed me further away from it.

I attempted to upload a couple of reviews I had written in the Summer and saw people praising them and how much they had missed my reviews, and it felt good feeling part of a community. But even when reading through the reviews I just feel nothing. I don’t dislike this franchise, I just don’t have the spark for it anymore.

Even my reviews - towards the end of Summer - I was just writing them out of routine, because I genuinely thought I would have nothing if I accepted my love of Doctor Who had come to an end after nearly 8 years. I stressed myself out over getting them perfect, getting them written, I ended up in hospital with a panic attack beginning of September; this is what triggered my hiatus initially. What I planned to be a two week break turned into a two month absence where I found Pokemon and used it as a distraction. Even when the anxiety had calmed down I didn’t think about coming back, but I felt like I was having fun for the first time in ages - no stress, not pressuring myself into writing reviews everyday. Crying out loud, I couldn’t watch or listen to a single episode of Who unless I was reviewing it.

I know this is a long post, but I feel like I owe it to a community that I have been a part of for quite some time - writing my reviews since April 2022 (on the site that shall not be named) before moving over here to TardisGuide. Shauny and the team have made something truly spectacular here, but I fear I simply don’t fit anymore.

After much thought, I’ve decided to step away fully from Doctor Who - this account will remain up because I have written a good few reviews, and I’m proud of them, but it will likely go inactive for the forseable (after today).

I might check in eventually, but don’t hold your breath.

Before I go, just wanted to give kudos to some of my fellow reviewers who I think you should all check out, cause their reviews are top tier;

^— These contribute the best of the best reviews in my mind.

Anyway, that’s all I wanted to say.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart TardisGuide, for making the past few months a great book-end to my Doctor Who craze.

Ta-ta!

It’ll be a shame to see you go, but absolutely understandable

Been great having you round, and I hope we do see you again, but obviously understand it’s unlikely

Thank you so much for the shout out, and wishing you best of luck in all your future endeavors!

You will always be welcome to come and say hello to us here, and it was a delight to read all your reviews. But looking after your health must come first, so I am happy you’ve found something else to find delight in. And thank you for putting me in your top reviewers list! That is truly an honour :purple_heart:

Sad to see you go but hope you’re doing alright.

Reading your posts actually inspired me to try out reviewing in the first place and I completely get some of the pressures that come with it.

Hope you’re doing ok and I wish you the best of luck with whatever you do.

(Ps, thanks so much for the shoutout, means a lot)

Shame to see you go, and bear in mind that you don’t have to review things or even be into Doctor Who to hang out here and chat. You’re always welcome here.

It’s been good to have you around. Just @SweetAIBelle said, you don’t need to be talking about DW to hang out here. We have a dedicated thread for sharing your mug everyday because of those mad Scandi people :exploding_head: I’m still not sure how that happens…

Great to hear from you, Karma, even if it is for the last time.

I have to echo what the others have said: it’s sad to see you go, but your health and well-being must come first; no franchise, hobby or interest should come before your well-being. You know what is best for you, and you should follow your instincts.

Your reviews will always stay here for us to admire.

Thank you for inspiring us with your reviews and insights, and thanks for giving me a shoutout - I will never match your level, but then again, I don’t have to. That is why we are a community of many different people and many different reviewing styles.

Take care, and have a great end of the year and an even greater future. We’ll always be here if you need to chat about anything, Doctor Who, Pokémon or something else

Just to echo what @SweetAIBelle said - you’re always welcome here whether you’re reviewing, chatting Doctor Who or just sharing pictures of cats or mugs with Moomins on.

It’s natural to get burned out on something we love from time to time and it’s good to take a step away and come back when we’re a bit refreshed.

I hope we do see you again, because the door is always open.

Keep safe.

(PS, I’m not offended @MrColdStream made the top reviewers list and I didn’t…no, not offended at all… ).

And it wasn’t even started by a Scandinavian. You have to blame a certain Narvin-loving individual for that

Are you trying to imply that my reviews are bad?
