The other day I read that back in 2013 someone considered Asylum of the Daleks the best series/season opener. I remember enjoying Asylum but I don’t think it’s the best opener. That position belongs to Eleventh Hour. Was a bit strange reading that
Thank you. And I wasn’t serious about the piñata part. I am very peaceful. (I probably didn’t need to clarify that, but now I feel crummy for even joking it, lol.)
I agree with you completely, I did like Asylum but The Eleventh Hour served as a far better opener. Besides, for me, the strength of Asylum was the ending. It was all good but I especially liked that part. The Eleventh Hour was a solid intro for the Eleventh (fit his personality well) and for a companion.
Yep. The ending was heartbreaking and a total surprise. When I read that I thought; Are they forgetting about the Eleventh Hour?
Exactly and what’s weird is isn’t Asylum the one where their relationship was strained in the first half? That was not fun, that was sad, lol. It was a top heavy episode, with the interesting things happening at the end. (I haven’t seen it in a while so I might be off.)
All good; I knew you were joking. But it’s good to have this confirmed in case someone else thinks that they might turn into piñatas if they defy your… mavity.

Close. Amy and Rory were thinking of divorcing before it wrapped up at the end which was rushed in my opinion.
Oh right, it was more serious than I remember then! Yeah, The Eleventh Hour was basically a quintessential fairytale story, that one I remember very well. It was powerful. Sure, some people had issues with perceived Amy flirting and the kissogram stuff. But she just met her childhood fascination in the flesh, and the kissogram stuff was just dorky in retrospect. That’s my take on it anyway.
Well I guess that was because of me then. I didn’t realize moving my stuff to the other threads was an annoyance.
What did that rascal do to you now? ![]()
Don’t feel bad! Sometimes you have to threaten to hit someone with a baseball bat, we’ve all been there ![]()
Not just you, it’s happened a few times now which is why we made the rule.
And it is annoying when you open the forum and are hit with this:
It was something magnificent! But it shall forever remain a piece of forgotten TG history now ![]()
That must be what light mode looks like. Interesting.
I hope people, who hadn’t already in currently watching, enjoyed reading my thoughts at least. Conveniently, I was already done moving everything.
As Shauny said, it was definitely not just you! People do it from time to time and it messes up the home page.
There’s a wonderful moment from the sitcom How I Met Your Mother, where the gang go boogie boarding down the hill, and their behaviour makes the bar put a sign up:
Ted says:
“You haven’t truly lived until somewhere, somebody puts a sign up because of something you did.”
So think of it like a sign! You changed the TARDIS Guide rules! ![]()
I think that one of the problems we are trying to address with this is that when a lot of clubs get updated at the same time, many people don’t read them, and that is sad because I am happy that your analyses are in the clubs where they belong. But if they had been moved at a slower pace, they could have sparked more new discussions and brought new life to older clubs, and that is something that we like but this dont happen when they happen with a lot of clubs at the same time.
And just to be clear, as others have mentioned, this is definitely not only you. This happens once every couple of months.
New Whoniverse show episode with Moffat is out! Tia hosting instead of Christel too.
Was tempted to make a thread for these as I never know where to place these but idk
