*the Doctor, Flip, and Constance run into this gremlin*

FLIP: Hey, Doctor, what’s that?
DOCTOR: I know exactly what is that! I met a creature like this while investigating the death of a scientist working on a quantum computer. Jamie and Zoe. I do miss those days.
CONSTANCE: Would you care to explain what a quantum computer is?
DOCTOR: Certainly, Ms. Clarke. It’s the kind of machine in which my dear friend Liz was trapped. I miss her, as well.
FLIP: And who’s she when she’s at home?
DOCTOR: That’d be Elizabeth Shaw, a scientist at UNIT. Which reminds me of my first meeting with them, in the London Underground with Jamie and Victoria…

DOCTOR: Speaking of London, that’s where I met my old friends Ben and Polly. I miss them, too.

CONSTANCE: Perhaps now is not the best time for reminiscing.

DOCTOR: Ah funny that you said “the best time”, as this reminds me of having the best time with Susan, Ian and Barbara (who I miss) as we followed Marco Polo around. I do miss Marco Polo, as well.

Hmm… I really miss Susan. I should go back to her, you know. I promised I would. She didn’t really want to leave, but I made the executive decision to lock her out of the TARDIS. Good decision, that. She’d known David for a whole week, that’s clearly long enough.

Ah well. Off to Barcelona. Don’t have time to go see her, after all. Imagine that! Visiting your own family!
