First look at “Joy to the World” the Christmas special 2024

The post above this sentence is the reason why you are not showrunning this whole shebang.

I also love than the word ‘shebang’ is something a non-native English speaker knows how to use.

It’s a perfectly cromulent word in this circumstance

I also know how to use the word Shebang! Because you are talking about the Swedish pop group from the 90s, right?

Strange that you know about them but they don’t have a wiki page in English! They have one in Finish and Italian at least!

Meanwhile in Finland…

I had been thinking the same!

No, it will actually be a sequel to Inferno revealing that this World and Pete’s World are the same, obviously!

In all seriousness, I doubt it has anything to do with multiverses, probably was a typo, and they just try to cover it up, or we might get the shalka doctor and jackie tyler teaming up to defeat krotons!

Yes!

I know it’s a very minor & maybe petty criticism but please can Doctor Who go back to wearing a distinct ‘costume’ rather than just dressing like an average person each week.

I’d say he definitely still dresses more costumey, but yeah it does change

I wish they at least kept one part of the outfit consistant, let him change the rest up but keep the coat for everything

Outside of the period appropriate ones I think a lot his outfits strike me as just ‘stylish guy’. I don’t think the doctor has to be unfashionable but there has to be some element of anachronism or inappropriateness.

11 dresses like an old man despite looking young. 3 and 8 are dressed like a dandy. 6 is just unfashionable. Etc…

Excuse me? Six is the height of fashion!

Oh boy, you don’t realise what you did there. I shall go to bed now while the carnage unfolds over here. I hope the forum’s still here when I wake up!

Definitely keep one part consistent. He should always wear a snorkel :joy:

I always think that’s because he knew he was the last incarnation. That’s old even by Gallifrey’s standards…

Although I do find the idea of a multiverse Christmas story an interesting one to consider.

Looks like it’s not only going to be fluffy and fun, but it’s also going to try to pull on the heartstrings!

Looking forward to it even more now.
