#TARDISclub has been going since lockdown. Every Saturday at 2pm UK time, we watch two episodes, the first at 2pm and the second at 2.30pm. We’ve been working through the classic era and this week we’ve reached Season 16 or The Key to Time. We independently start the episodes on DVD or via streaming and then comment online as we watch. If you have a Mastodon account or any other fediverse connected account, you’re welcome to join. Find us under the #TARDISclub hashtag.
The first two episodes of the Ribos Operation were as good as I remembered them, although I didn’t cover myself in glory by falling asleep towards the end of episode 2. I struggle to watch TV during the day and often find myself flagging in the second part that we watch. The ME doesn’t help, of course. Still, if anyone wants to join in next week, they’re welcome. We have participants from various parts of the world. It’s not my show; but I thought that TARDIS Guide members might also like TARDIS Club! It was started and is guided by Alex Daily (@alexis@beeboop.one) but they are very welcoming and inclusive and the ethos is very much the same as that of TARDIS Guide.
We took a break from #TARDISclub last week when all but one of the regulars weren’t able to make it. I was unwell and others were away or dealing with personal issues. It’s the first time since we started that we had to postpone a meeting at the last minute. We’ve taken the occasional break by mutual agreement, but, for around five years we’ve been at it, two classic episodes per week. Anyway, at 2pm GMT today we resume on Mastodon with episodes three and four of the Ribos Operation. Anyone on the fediverse, who’d like to join in, is welcome, as ever.
