Voted for Caves, it’s a very good one, and I am not surprised it’s at the top, but personally speaking I find Frontios the best of the Season. Which surprises me, since usually I am not THAT big on Bimead’s Script (I mean I like them, but they are rarely my favorite). The Awakening is also pretty great in my Eyes.
Planet of Fire is pretty solid, not the biggest Fan, but it’s like good fun. I have some Issues with the Twin Dilemma, but hey Colin gives it his all and I like some of the Creature Designs. Warriors of the Deep has the Mykra, one of the greatest Creature ever, and the Ending is pretty great. And Resurrection? I better not say anything about Resurrection!

I went with ‘Caves’ (naturally), ‘The Awakening,’ and ‘Resurrection’ for my Group of Three.

Same.

12 characters etc etc

Went for Caves as its an unironic masterpiece. Don’t have massive thoughts either way for the rest of them - Resurrection was pretty good too, but nowhere near Caves’ level

Have not seen the first three stories of the season and honestly don’t remember Resurrection that well. But I have, of course, watched the stories with Peri many many times.

Honestly I think Caves is sorta just fine. I don’t particularly dislike it or anything but I’ve never quite understood why it’s so highly regarded aside from Peter going out on a really great performance.

On the other hand, I actually really love The Twin Dilemma. The actual main plot with the twins and all is largely pretty boring, but the character work in the relationship between Peri and Sixie is really great and I think that a lot of it gets really misunderstood by the fandom. It always reminds me a lot of Deep Breath, which is another of my favorite post-regeneration episodes

I didn’t realise you could choose up to three, but I don’t think I’d add to my vote (just Caves) in restrospect anyway, seeing as I find it VERY hard to enjoy most of this season!

By far one of the weakest seasons, that gets to save face because it has arguably the best Doctor Who story ever in its ranks.

“I’ve lived so long in these caves” has just incepted into my vocabulary, also Sharaz Jek were the first words i ever wrote down

I definitely agree. The Twin Dilemma is a top tier DW story.

Compared to stuff like Resurrection of the Daleks, it absolutely is.

I enjoy The Awakening, i think it’s a very atmospheric two parter

It’s The Caves of Androzani, isn’t it? While I have a soft spot for Planet of Fire, very few televised Doctor Who stories live up to the bar that Caves sets.

This is true. 100% factual.

My take on The Twin Dilemma is that it is not at all a good story, but it remains watchable purely through the sheer acting ability and charisma of Colin Baker and Nicola Bryant.

I agree with the first part.

I voted for Planet of Fire as it’s the story that made me a Doctor Who fan.

Caves and Twin Dilemma are the only two I’ve seen of these and I really don’t like the latter while I adore the former so easy vote for Caves

EDIT: Oh wait I have seen Ressurection, but like a decade ago lol
