Yeah, i unashamedly just think books are better because of things like this lol. You can just do so much more with them!

ITS SO CLEARLY SOMETHING SHE FINDS REALLY COMPELLING AND SHE WRITES IT SO COMPELLINGLY… people hanging around with nothing they can do but wait for something bad to happen, or wait for the bad thing to stop happening… and all the little moments of intimacy that happen at times like that. those scenes are such a big part of Vampire Science, and one of the most memorable bits of Tigers to me was the line about the hostages sitting together or hugging each other or just standing around holding hands. that kind of stuff hits so close to home for me, especially with all the medical stuff that me and my family have dealt with in the past couple years lol. the very real human experience of sitting in waiting rooms trying not to lose it.
