Silence in the Library is one of my all time favourites and the I picked Mummy on the Orient Express.
I love the Zygon Inversion, Capaldi deserves all the awards for that speech but Mummy on the Orient Express has the line “Are you my Mummy?” so it wins.
Oh, a lot of bangers! ‘Father’s Day’ is a true classic for me, 10/10, and so is ‘Human Nature’ because I’m a sucker for a good amnesiac Doctor story. Villa Diodati (prob my fave from Thirteen’s run) & Silence in the Library are also mwah chef’s kiss.
Well I voted for Zygon Invasion yesterday, only natural I also vote for Zygon Inversion. So many good choices for 2nd, Witchfinders, Hungry Earth, Cold War, Silence in the Library; but I decided to go with Mummy on the Orient Express, it’s just a very fun episode with a very fun twist.
Father’s Day (just LOVE the Rose/Pete drama; bonus points for doing a Rickroll before Rickrolling was a thing) and Mummy On The Orient Express (the most Classic-style NuWho episode, to the point where it arguably could’ve turned out even better with Classic multi-part pacing; literally the only episode I can say that about).
Tough choices today, a lot of good episodes. I ended up choosing Silence in the Library and Mummy on the Orient Express. Once again they’re episodes I’m nostalgic for but are also just generally great episodes. Though Father’s Day, Human Nature and The Haunting of Villa Diodati are all honorable mentions.
Had to go for Human Nature and Silence in the Library because those two are just on another level but Father’s Day and The Impossible Planet are both in my top echelon of Doctor Who stories.
The first 5 Episodes listed here are all very strong to some degree or another, then we get to LKH and that streak is broken. But enough of my dislike of this one Episode. Outside that Episode (and EoD), I do like the Rest to some degree or another. It’s pretty hard to pick, but I think I will go with Mummy and Witchfinders on this one.
Lots of love for Impossible Planet, but feels wrong to vote for one half of a brilliant Story, same with Silence in the Library. Lots a love for Farthers Day and Villa Diodati as well!
Too many great choices today, so I went full Capaldi with ‘Mummy’ and ‘Zygon.’ Realistically, though, I could’ve voted for nearly every episode on that list.
Quite a few series highs and lows here I ended up picking Father’s Day and Mummy, with honorable mentions to Silence in the Library and The Impossible Planet (I prefer their respective part 2’s). Zygon Inversion has that really good speech, Haunting of Villa Diodati is a highlight of 13’s best series, the rest I could take or leave.
I ended up voting for Silence in the library and the zygon inversion, but It was very close, because I also love human nature, mummy on the orient express and the witchfinders (honestly I remember liking all of these episodes when I watched them)
