Hmm not a lot of ones I like. Went with A Good Man Goes to War and The Zygon Invasion. Honourable mentions to Unicorn and the Wasp and Legend of Ruby Sunday (THAT CLIFFHANGER!!)
Zygon Invasion was the easiest choice for number 1, number 2 however wasn’t so easy. I think Amy’s Choice, A Good Man Goes to War, and Rings of Akhaten are all amazing episodes. I think out of those 3, Amy’s Choice edges out the victory, very important character development for Amy, a great antagonist, Rory’s ponytail, very good episode.
It bored me the first time around. Every rewatch since it’s captivating me — it’s got that’s empathetic and magical tone I’ve grown to love in Who.
Oh, there are plenty of episodes I need to rewatch! I’m sure I’ll like Time Heist more on a second viewing. But it’s a matter of time! There’s just so much Big Finish in the world!
I chose Amy’s Choice, because it’s a drastically underrated, incredibly clever, effortlessly stylish emotional rollercoaster, and Unicorn and the Wasp because it’s fun.
Had you asked me a month ago, I might’ve even put The Legend of Ruby Sunday but I rewatched it recently after Season Two left me way colder than Season One. I actually found a good majority of it insufferable, which is new.
Idiot’s Lantern (don’t worry, not getting into all that again… this time) and Amy’s Choice because I really dug the look into Eleventh’s psychology and the Eleventh/Amy/Rory relationship dynamic.
