I think it is quite obvious which one is my favourite.

Seven, without a shadow of a doubt. I do like Four a lot, but… yeah. McCoy’s Doctor is something else.

I picked 8 because he is the best out of the options here, but he is obviously not a classic doctor, (classic who was 1963-89, 8 was 1996-2005, making him a wilderness years doctor). In answer to the question “favourite classic doctor?” I would say 7 or 1.

Yea out of these my favorite is Mcgann but i also consider him a Wilderness Doctor. Of the Classic ones 6 is my favorite

It’s always hard to choose these. Today I’m picking 4, but tomorrow it’d maybe shift to 8, or 3, or 7.

But something I love about 4 is Tom Baker himself. He literally is the doctor - whether he’s “acting” or not!

But then I’m really growing to LOVE 8. His adventures with Charley, and C’rizz, and now the ones I’m listening to with Lucie are incredible. His voice, the tone when he gets giddy, when he’s analysing, in every syllable. He’s gorgeous

But I also like 3! And 7 is great too, though I’m still getting through a few more of his TV stories, and trying to explore him in the Virgin New Adventures.

Some days it’s Hartnell, other days it’s McCoy.

Love them both equally.

I love seven. Three and four get close some days, but he really is my favourite. Once I’m done with exams I’ll finally get out the big DVD collection I got for Christmas and rewatch all of his stories with commentaries.

TRICKY! These days I’m more a Classic fan than a revival one, and I adore all of them. I think Eight is his own entity so I’m not counting him, Three and Seven and One I adore, Four I think I don’t like until I’m watching him and I go oh yeh. I get it. Same with Five. Six, I’ll defend his TV stories to the end and he’s delightful on audio. In fact I think Two is the only one I don’t have a terribly strong opinion abou

I’m following the lead of other people here who have chosen not to count McGann as a Classic Doctor because it makes my decision easier

I really love Sylvester McCoy’s Doctor. I love the blend of whimsy and darkness he brought to the role, and I think s25 and s26 are somme of the most consistently strong series of the Classic era (I’m an s24 fan too but acknowledge it got off to a rocky start with Time and the Rani)

Shout out to both One (autistic space grandad) and Three (loveable dandy) though too; Hartnell and Pertwee would be my runners up

It’s always gonna be 3 for me I feel, his run is the most consistent of the classic era with only one maybe two duds In his whole run (for me)

I mostly didn’t count McGann because I’ve watched the movie, and the short he regenerated in and that’s it, so I feel I really don’t know him that well.

I also usually don’t put 1+2 in rankings. It used to be because I hadn’t watched all of their episodes, but now I have. I don’t know, I love them, but have trouble comparing them to any of the other doctors.

4 will always be my Doctor; he was my first classic and returning to a Tom Baker story always feels cosy. But I love 8 (though obviously mostly from audio) and the more 2 I watch the more he nips on their toes…

4 is my favourite Doctor ever across both eras, but admittedly a lot of that is legacy and association with when I got into classic. Plus Tom Baker himself.

True. 5 is kinda the most relatable Doctor for me. Love his relationship with companions

I think that I would rank them like this:
2
3
1
4
7
6
5

But to me, 1-3 are almost equally good. 4 would probably be higher if he had done a bit less. I got a bit bored by the end. 6 has passed 5 because of BF, but I am still not that big of a fan of them.

Not being able to vote for more than one is criminal because I flip and flop between 5 and 2 being my favourites but I also love 1 and 7. Honestly, the only ones who wouldn’t be vying for top spot with me are 3 and 4.

I also consider Eight a Wilderness Doctor more than a Classic Doctor, but I did vote for him. Of the others, it would absolutely be Three, not even a competition.

I flip between 3 and 8 so often. When I did my classic who binge and 3 regenerated I had to take months off cause I was so sad the era was over, I loved it so much!! 8 self explanatory he’s an icon, a legend and he is the moment. I’m sad we’ve got ages to go till his next audios! Voted for 8 in the end though!

I was going to pick 2 & 4 but when I voted for Troughton and I realised I only had one vote, I was happy to leave it as it was.
I love 8, but from Big Finish rather than the Movie.
