Purely based on 80s TV it’s Sylv. If we take into account all of DW ever though I think Colin might have it for me.

I second that. All the 80s Doctors and their respective EU eras are very dear to me, and although Seven’s is my favourite TV era Six is probably my #2 Doctor overall. (Seven is #3, I think!)

I love Seven. He’s one of my favourite doctors overall, so also my favourite here

I voted 5, I’ve liked a lot of his audios lately. I kinda fell out of love with Classic who after 3 left and powered through the rest, not taking time to properly enjoy it. I’ll get round to a rewatch someday. It also happens I’ve barely consumed any of these three’s audio content, as I’ve not delved heavily into the monthly range.

I love all three of their audios, especially the main range (and their companions in it like erimem and evelyn) but 7’s TV stories are just so brilliant, and I find him most interesting as a character, so it’s got to be 7.

I don’t have to say it lol. But I will say that, outside of the individual who gained my vote, Seven is the only other Classic Doctor I’ve watched in their entirety. That probably means something.

Easily Sylvester, followed by Colin. I’m one of those who really don’t think Colin’s bad in his TV stories—colourful and abrasive, yes, but not as bad as everyone claims. He’s even better in audio!

I love 5, his era has so many comfort stories for me.

Love them all, and it feels wrong having to pick. But it’s definitely Slyvester for me, especially because of his TV Run, it’s just great!
Much love to Colin too, his EU Material is just great.
Oh, and Peter is superb too!!

7 and 5 flit every month in and out of my top three, they’re both Doctors I really, really like, but I only seem to realize that once I listen to a story with them, while 6 keeps being on top consistently (my #2 used to be 2, but has since become the only classic Doctor I’ve properly watched, so 1). Because of the Main Range being my first experience with performed classic, 5, 6 and 7 are all kind of “my Doctors” though, so regardless of Six bias, I still love all of them equally. They all bring me immense comfort and joy.

No one else comes close.

TV alone it’s 7, but overall thanks to audios it’s 6

McCoy for me. My first Doctor, yes, but one I still find so entertaining.

Davison is excellent too though and very underrated. Not just being so young but it was â– â– â– â– â– â– â–  BRAVE to take on potentially the most eccentric character in British popular culture and to play it pretty much straight. At 29 years old. After Tom Baker. And pull it off. Davison can stake a claim to being potentially the best actor to play the part in my opinion, even if there are other incarnations I end up preferring.

And this might be one for the controversial opinions thread but while I do like every single Doctor, even taking the audios into consideration I find it the Sixth Doctor is still towards the bottom of my list.

In the show it’s Sylvester, in audio it’s Colin.
