We have this issue with The Interstellar Song Contest, the FA Cup final is before it and Eurovision is directly after it. There’s the nightmare scenario that DW is pre-empted because the Cup Final goes long

I’m not sure I’m convinced by that one. I think it had all the makings of a very good episode, but I’m just not convinced that that’s the same creature at all.

Interesting monster concept but I don’t like it being tied to midnight that closely, if it was same star system like the ood and sensorites maybe, but the fact it acted differently made the midnight inclusion feel pointless

I think the exact opposite. I think it works because it’s behaving differently. The way I see it, this creature wants to play with its food so to speak. The first time it did it by doing the copying thing, this time it did a sort of mind game with whispers and being behind its host. It seems like it wants to make people afraid before it kills them. I think this episode would have been lesser if it just did the same thing again.
