Broadcast: 7 December from 6am on iPlayer, and 7pm on BBC4. This is a new 90 minute omnibus edition.

Jo and the Doctor visit the Master, now safely locked up in an island prison. Or is he? When the Doctor and Jo find themselves caught up in the mystery of the missing ships and the creatures that emerge from the sea, they begin to wonder if the Master is up to his old tricks.

Excited to see this. Whilst I don’t think they always make the best decisions, it’s interesting to see how they are presented. When the original still exists in all its glory on VHS, DVD, Bluray and iPlayer, it’s fun to have a slightly different take and an added option whenever I’m in the mood to watch the story. It’s cool to have choices.

At least it’s going on iPlayer early! That’s good news I suppose… but I agree that earlier today would have been so much better.

Oh I see, I missed that part! Oh okay so at least it can be a morning watch…that’s still an awful lotta Sea Devils in a very short period with two full eps of the new show afterwards lol

It’s just funny that they decided to do a whole new edit of a story that already had a perfectly acceptable cut-down version they could have used in its place… one that was made by the OG production team.

I’ve got an open mind about this one! Although the amount of “that’s worzel gummage” I’m gonna get from my mother tonight :sweat_smile: like yes. That’s why I put it on. You know and like Jon pertwee a lot more than Matt smith (she does like him just doesn’t care for DW)

Yep we will add them at some point!

The main issue is differentiating them with different pictures and stuff. And need to know all the details like release date, runtime, etc.

5/10. It was fine. The new edit didn’t really add much, try as they might. The music was all over the place, and there were some janky edits (as usual).
