That’s true – you’ll never know what’ll stick with a kid and different visuals affect people differently.
I used to absolutely terrified of the very specific idea of people or creatures who were hollow / empty on the inside. The Empty Child would have scared me very badly had I seen it that young (but I expect I would also be fascinated by it, as kids often are with the things that scare them).
