liked this story a lot,a bit of pacing issues but i think otherwise everything else was great,its an rtd opener we cant expect 10/10 story,8.5/10 for me

Iām not yet sure what to think. Said this somewhere else, but it most definetly wasnāt a bad episode, but I think something that is bugging me is how little subtext there is.
Like with some scenes, I really liked them, and then they would go out of their way to give exposition dialogue and it immediately like the scene less.
Again, the episode was fine, love the Doctor, love Belinda. I am very excited for what is to come. But I did find it a bit annoying when they went describing right what was on the screen. And itās like āI know. I can see it, itās right there!ā
Still, 5/10 
Edit: Iāve upped the rating to 6/10 because I donāt think itās a 5/10 compared to some other stories Iāve given that rating. Also, Iāve rewatched it in english, and noticed that I justā¦ really donāt like a lot of the translation decisions.

Currently, Iām sitting on a 3.5/5, but Iām hovering between 3/5, I want to give it the day to properly process the episode before I make a proper decision.
Overall, I liked the episode, but there were some aspects I didnāt quite jibe with. Belinda is peak, I love her so much and the energy she brings, I canāt wait for the next episode where she gets to properly act as a companion. Polish Robot is great, look forward to watching his long career develop

So far itās 3.5 on TG, which I think is a pretty fair rating. Although I suspect the rating to trend upwards from here as more people watch and rate it.

yeah definitely,also space babies has like 2.63 so i dont think its gonna drop to that,i think it will stay at 3 star range which is fair.

Absolutely, @shauny. I felt it was pitched about right for a family fun show. It could hardly have taken the Adolesence route. The story was fun and fast paced. Was it on the nose? Maybe, but there is a problem that if things are done too subtly, some people would miss it (whatever they might claim) and others would rationalise it as saying something different (because itās less uncomfortable for them that way).
I mean, for goodness sake, there are plenty of people out there who put classic Who on a pedestal but berate the modern series for on the nose messaging amongst other things. Canāt get much more on the nose than (the great) The Green Death but that gets a free pass?
The Robot Revolution was no more on the nose about coercive control etc. than The Green Death was about pollution or The Curse of Peladon about joining the EC/EU. I think the reason that some donāt like it is because it doesnāt reflect well on their own worldview.
Me? I had a blast! A great season opener. Fun, funny, on occasion touching and boy did it look great!

Same approach here, @BillFiler and @Tian. Really wanted to go into this season spoiler free and that includes reviews (until after Iāve seen). I know Iām going to watch so donāt need a review to help me make up my mind. I prefer to just let it wash over me.
