That would imply RTD wasn’t creatively bankrupt though if he brought Mcgann back.
Oh, it’d still be creatively bankrupt IMO, but I’d be more excited than it being Billie Piper.

I genuinely do not understand why some people seem so into 8 coming back. A great Doctor but it would be just as bad. We’ve had enough old faces in the show.

It does still have Steffan hosting it so there’s at least some chance of him running over to wherever they were filming the quickly-shot regeneration scene on a vertical iPhone shot and out-of-breath saying “I think she might be the Doctor? I don’t know anymore. What are we doing?” before the credits quickly roll.

I don’t agree that it’s new. It’s the same gimmick just slightly repackaged.
My comment was largely tongue-in-cheek, to clarify. I don’t like this idea at all, whether it’s Piper, McGann, or the bloke who played Pigbin Josh.
