Yeah, I’m planning on finding some time to watch the Rani serials before next week, and I imagine people will also go back to check out Susan’s episodes as well. Now if only BBC could make classic easily accessible outside of the UK
Even us in the UK can’t watch Susan’s first appearance on iPlayer
Is DW not on Australian Tubi?
Unfortunately not, the only way for us to watch Classic is either buy the blurays, or magically move to the UK.
Hey, don’t be so defeatist. Where there’s a will there’s a way . And that’s all I’ll say about that.
As suspected with the reveal my friend who’s only seen Ncuti’s era was very confused by the lack of explanation on who the Rani is and what bigeneration is
Still think the Doctor should’ve been present for the reveal.
Yeah it’s difficult, my friend (who I mentioned before has only seen The Story and the Engine) wants to watch more and asked me where to start.
For simplicity, and because he likes Ncuti, I was gonna suggest from The Church on Ruby Road but to understand bigeneration you need to see from The Star Beast but that kind requires Series 4 which requires series 3 to get the context of Rose being stuck in a different universe, but that really requires series 1-2 to get why she is important.
So I said start from Rose which I’d LOVE cos then we could talk about it all, but not sure he will watch all that!
I don’t want a fresh start with no past references, but it sure would have been easier to introduce people to the show if it wasn’t for this web of continuity!
Im loving the outfits!! Not excited for conrad to come back tho, hes just not interesting to me compared to the rani lol
Don’t even need to unblur that picture…
Does Britbox not exist over there anymore?
It does, but sadly doesn’t have Doctor Who
You just look down?
I’d like you to stop imagining my underwear, thank you very much. I feel violated.
Bugger, it always used to
100%. I do enjoy being the fan that’s being serviced, but even people that have all of the revival under their belt are bound to be a bit confused. A friend of mine watched RTD1 and Moffat’s era, but even as someone who really likes what he saw of the show, he has absolutely no idea who Susan and the Rani are, just like he had no idea who Sutekh was. Just very weird decisions for New New Who.
I thought Susan was well introduced though, it was explained in last years season who she is.
It’s the Rani that is out of nowhere
‘It’s a reboot’ they said. ‘We’re starting over the season numbering to make jumping on more accessible’ they said
As a fan: love being serviced.
As a series: the fanwank is getting out of hand
Why are we spoilering the episode details all of a sudden lol.
