I’ve been doing a lot of thinking about this episode.
Ignoring a certain scene, I absolutely adore this episode!
I’m looking forward to rewatching in the evening, and I’m very excited for the James Goss Target!

Now that you know it’s coming, it won’t affect you as much. I always feel that a rewatch improves my feeling on bits that I wasn’t sure of, because it’s no longer a surprise.

Oh and I love the Vindicator.
I know it’s pretty simple, but a little gadget like this that needs to be placed in several different locations around the universe to triangulate their position and take them where they want to go?
That’s such a great way to justify hopping around for a few episodes before the finale, and feels like something out of Big Finish (in a good way!)

Loved it!
Mr RAD was a fun villain. I actually quite like that he got linked to some of 15s other villains. I especially loved how his ‘real body’ was kind of gross.
The fan scene worked well for me. It felt like the right mix of fan service, serving the plot and poking a bit of fun. The joke about leaks was especially funny. RTD is a devious bastard.
The resolution was a little bit straightforward but Reg’s sacrifice added some emotional weight that made it work for me.
Whilst I’d defer to a more experienced opinion, I think the topic of racism and what it means for the Doctor to be a black time traveler was handled better than anything last season.

Really enjoyed it! Again, worried about leaks being true now.
Not seen anyone discuss this, but did anyone else see the set photos for this when they filmed last year? For those unaware, they did the harbinger lettering in real life so I’ve known for a year we’d get another Pantheon story. It didn’t lessen my enjoyment, but my partner was shocked at the reveal and I wish I was too.

Ok, joking aside, I did enjoy Lux a lot more than last week but it still suffered from the same problems the rest of the era suffers from.
Incredible CGI and some fun performances make this a good time but a lack of depth or subtlety does make it somewhat painful.
Still, very enjoyable episode

With the 4th wall breaking, i’m starting to believe the theory that Mrs Flood could be the god of stories,
I do think that the doctor could easily drop Belinda back off at like 11.59 the day before however, unless the writing gives us reason to believe otherwise
