I was considering making it opt-in, which would be better, but it would be less fun.
Not sure how many people were around back then but the stars on the website used to move, like you were flying through space… that was really cool but I ended up removing it for accessibility.

Oh same [gestures to my pfp]. I imprinted on him at 8 years old and never recovered. 20ish years later I’m still finding ways to be Even More Sad about him (looking at you big finish) so if I don’t laugh at the bad jokes I’ll cry

It might be the fact that this activated for me just as I got rid of quite a nasty headache and brought it back but I’m going to opt out.

I find it slightly annoying, but as I don’t want to spend too much time on the website during my exam period, I want to keep it so that I am discouraged from loitering on the forum instead of working.

yeah, my only concern would be people not knowing the opt-out exists, or not being able to stand the snow long enough to find it… so opt-in is definitely better for accessibility, but you’re right that it’s also less fun for people who don’t have issues with it.
