Lovely Idea! I’d be down for it, even if I haven’t ever written any What If Stories for anything. Already seen some lovely ideas thrown around.
Honestly that would be a great shot, could even make it ambiguous for each one shot, which Curator they might be (BF People do know what I know, but I don’t want to take it away, besides in essence that Character is very much just a Chance to get older Doctors, so you are basically kinda free to pick which Doctor you take as the Curator, at least in my mind).
Love John Hurt but c’mon Moffat… why couldn’t we get Paul :((

(Slight spoilers for Season 16 and 20 of classic below):
This may seem a bit of a boring one, I know, but I’d imagine it happening as some sort of Revenge Plan from the Black Guardian. Maybe directly after the Doctor refuses to give him the Key to the Time, maybe after in Season 20, who knows. While yes Flux is very much tied to the Timeless Arc, it would be interesting to see either 4 and Romana 1 or 5, Tegan and Nyssa handle it. If anybody is interested in this dumb Idea, be my guest and steal it!

I believe Moffat has said that the decision to not include the 8th Doctor was the BBC’s(Paul McGann lacked ‘star power’ 
), not his. The BBC wanted a big star for the special, so Moffat cast John Hurt as the War Doctor. He then wrote Night of the Doctor to both explain the new incarnation and still include Paul McGann in the festivities. Now whether you believe this chain of events or chock it up to Moffat covering after some backlash is up to you, but I am inclined to believe it.

Hmm fair, I correct my mistake then, everybody please just imagine it saying “BBC” instead of “Moffat” with that Part!

This was also after Christopher Eccleston was asked and said no, so the War Doctor was literally the third option. I think a version of the Doctor played by John Hurt is a pretty good plan C!

Had an idea while putting the kettle on yesterday:
What if Bill fell to the monks?
Basically just take The Lie of the Land, but Bill doesn’t remember everything that’s happened before and does believe the lies the monks are spreading, putting Twelve in a very different position, and, after being trapped for months and months and getting bored, making our new protagonist of the story Missy.

Would love to see the version of ‘Day of the Doctor’ with 8 instead of War.
Would also love to see ‘What if Missy didn’t die on the colony ship’. Would be interesting to see her becoming an ally to the Doctor.

The most interesting episodes of the What If…? Marvel show for me is when they take two characters who exist in the same time and place but somehow never interacted and show what happens when they do meet. Episodes like the Agatha/Kingo fight and Bucky/Red Guardian team up are examples I can think of for the most recent series. I haven’t come up with a lot for Doctor Who, but I have thought of one…

Okay firstly, would be super down to contribute to such a project (as being a writer is my whole ‘thing’ and I adore writing dw fic).
As for ideas, hmm… I’ll put more thought in but my obvious first choice is ‘What if Oswin Oswald (or Victorian!Clara) survived their episode and joined the Doctor as companion?’
