I might be wrong, but my guess is that these will not count as Target since they are from BF and not TV, but I might also be wrong.
Itâs confusing, but the paperbacks are definitely Targets.
Do we know that these will be paperback?
Well theyâre bound to put out paperbacks eventually
Not the best Covers, but they have their Charm, even if I really donât like the one for Jubilee. Oh, well, excited either way!
I mean just take a cross-section of this forum to see that is trueâŚ
Absolutely joking!!! Weâre all awesome.
I quite like The Chimes of Midnight one and I like how they make these BF adaptations stand out a bit from the other Targets.
I wonder if part of the reasoning was the lack of âin universeâ images of Charley and Evelyn or any of the actual characters from the stories beyond the Doctor and the Dalek. The other modern Targetsâ covers are very much based around publicity photos:
Speak for yourself! Iâm keeping the âobnoxiously annoyingâ label for myself. If nothing else, itâs much easier to live up to.
You know, I think this might be the most beautiful thing youâve ever said to me.
Thank you, darling. I love you too
Does anyone have any recommendations for their favourite Target novelisations that I should check out? I wanna grow my audiobook backlog because I am a fool
I have only read a handfull but The Myth Makers, The Day of the Doctor and The Giggle are by far the best ones. All three are superb and arguably better than the TV stories themselves.
I remember loving the Day of the Doctor one! Not checked out the other two yet

The Myth Makers,
I need to listen to that. I just need to finish mine and @BillFilerâs Missy project firstâŚ
Itâs told from a different POV than the TV story, and itâs pretty funny. I listened to the audiobook version, and recommend it.

Missy project
That doesnât seem to be going very well. I havenât heard from it in ages

We started it yesterday!
Started listening to Missy for the first time todayâA Spoonful of Mayhemâ Not a strong start to the series for me, this first story gets a 2,5/5
from me. But I still have high hopes for the rest of the series.

Aaah! Yay! Good luck
I do like the cover of TCOM; itâs evocative of a real golden-age murder mystery book cover. (Especially with the quote âit seems to me that this is a murder mystery where the murders themselves are the red herringsâ). Even though the lightning things are a bit much.
If they are going to be realesed in paper back as Target books later they might change the covers like they did with CORR
I didnât know abouth the new cover! Definately more inline with the Target series but I like the former much better
Targets Iâve enjoyed:
- The Day of the Doctor
- The Eaters of Light
- Kerblam!
- The Witchfinder s (currently reading and itâs great so far)
- The Giggle
- Rogue
