I once ‘borrowed’ Strange and Mysterious Creatures from my school (the one where I work).

I have yet to return it…

Is it because

a) you’ve read so many times that the pages have fallen out, and you daren’t return it,

b) the book is so good that you want to keep it for yourself, or

c) the book is so bad that you want to protect every future generation from it?

Well I have Pirates but haven’t read it yet…

Not only do you flagrantly disregard speed limits but now you’re admitting to being a thief!

I’m not sure how I feel about having a common criminal on the High Council!

I’ve given that school my blood, sweat and tears for over 20 years. I’m entitled to a book or two (especially as I’ve bought a lot of books with my own money over the years which still sit in book corners around the school).

Someone should really get onto this Doctor Who guy about his missed deadline for the Doctor Who Discovers Historical Mysteries he’s supposed to be writing!

I have just finished that Range (it’s a very quick Read!)
I don’t have much to say about this Range and I’d doubt I will ever write Reviews for them but let me go through the 6 of them quickly:
Early Man: It was fine, a decent Start, not necessarily a Topic that interest me much, I must admit. (and honestly those were some of the least interesting Hours in History Leasson!)
Prehistoric Animals: Much more like it! I find the Topic much more intriguing, so it get’s Bonus Points! Still just very solid.
Space Age: Always interested in the History of Space Travel, so of course a Book about it would do it for me. First one, that I can say I truly enjoyed and I think Fred Newman (the one and singular Person behind all of them) find his footing with this one!
The Conquerors: Decent read. Sure it has something interesting to it, but really didn´t find this one too much compelling, nice Choices of Pictures tho! I rate it similarly as the prehistoric Animals one, but a lower 3/5 to that one.
Strange and mysterious Creatures: Very fun one! Shame the Range ended here (for a while at least)
Pirates: What an oddity bringing back the Range for a short Comeback in the 2020s or should I say use an old scrapped one and release it finally. Pirates might be my favorite of this Range and that’s not just my Bias towards Pirates as a Topic! But a fun one and also it has easily the best Cover of them all.
A shame this Range got cancelled, if anything they are fun short reads and even the lesser ones are still decent Reads. I do think there is a lot to love with that Concept and I would have liked to see it carry on, maybe even beyond 4! Although 4 was a pretty good Choice, even if he was the No-Brainer considering he was the Doctor at that time.
What a weird little Range but a fun one to delve in!

And finally I know what it’s up with that one Plotpoint for the Kingmakers!
