A thread for anything about the Doctor Who Adventures comics mainly because I just had to share this closing frame from the strip Save the Humans!
A genuine ‘Adam and Steve’ gag in a children’s comic strip!

I’ve just started reading these comics.
There better be a badge at the end, because I need to gain something out of these at least!
Absolutely agree that there should be a badge as there’s something like 1000 of them.
How’s about it @shauny. It’s not like we ask for much!
Just read Warfreekz. Best so far, but that’s not saying much.
A Delicate Operation was absolutely awful! Do these comics ever get better?
Blood and Tears was an utter waste of time.
They have their moments.
I quite like Warfreekz and it’s funny that the Weeping Angel of Mons has spawned two Doctor Who stories which couldn’t be further apart in tone!
There is another comic strip called Warfreeqz which was published in the Doctor Who Adventures magazine.
‘Erm, actually, it’s called Warfreekz’
Yeah, I don’t know why I’ve started typing it with a Q!
You’ve got a two parter coming up - Bat Attack!/The Battle of Reading Gaol which is pretty good.
Beware SPOILERS!
What sorcery is this?
A Doctor Who Adventures strip I…
enjoyed?
Fried Death actually works quite well for me. Maybe it’s the gross-out factor, or the evil Gordon Ramsay, but it all come together to make an actually fun story!
Yeah, I thought Fried Death was okay and the silly chef names were a bit of fun. Shame they didn’t decide to use the Androgums though. Could have been a fun reference.
Well Bizarre Zero was… Bizzare.
Love this gag in Triskaidekaphobia:
Triskaidekaphobia is actually quite a funny strip. And the little infodump about why 13 is considered unlucky is very Doctor Who.
Ha! It’s just occurred to me that Triskaidekaphobia was published in Issue 13 of Doctor Who Adventures! What a neat little detail.
It should take you some time to read them all then, so I will get around to making that badge someday!
It’s probably closer to 400 or something but they are very short…
It’s also imperative that Heather, Wolfie and Decky get added to the character tracker.
No I’ve never read DWA and I’m not planning to start any time soon, but as I say, imperative.
