A great Doctor Who related documentary. I saw this a few years ago at London Film Festival & again on BBC iPlayer.

This is on my list to watch after I saw it appear in the Whoniverse on iplayer.
There’s a radio documentary too, I believe, with, I think Sophie Thompson as Delia.

Well I finally watched it and I must admit I am mixed on it. I read a little beforehand to get some Context behind this Project out of the Way, apparently it was a Passion Project by Caroline Catz who directed and starred as Delia herself.
There is a lot to like about this Production, the Sound Design especially translates itself very well to it. I did enjoy the Interview Segments that we got here, they gave some great Insight. How the Film was cut was done rather well as well, I thought.
Then there were the dramatized Parts, which I am mixed on, on one Hand I appreciate that they didn’t go the typical Route of those Scenes/Biopics, but I am not fully sold. I do think Catz as Delia is quite convincing to me. I am not sure how to best articulate.
Visually it’s unique and quite striking!
Not fully sold, but I have to say regardless it was a good Watch that I recommend everybody who is interested in this particular type of Music or more importantly behind the Figure that was Derbyshire.
