So I’ve been here a little while now, but realised I’d never posted one of these! Some of this I’ve covered in previous comments.
My first adventure was the Christmas repeat of Planet of the Spiders, so I would have been six. I didn’t fully understand the story, but I walked around the house doing my memory of the chanting, “omm Mummy, omi Mummy”. I’ve been a dedicated viewer ever since.
I used to head into town with my pocket money to buy Target books of old stories from the smallish range in the bookshop. I used to try and buy stories where companions joined or left or the first/ last episodes of each Doctor. My favourite story was Web of Fear. As a child, the mix of the London Underground, soldiers, and Yetis was very exciting! Being pre-internet, my book selections were guided by the following two publications…
If I’d have kept my issue one, it might be worth something now!
I joined TARDISGuide because @JayPea handed me a flyer whilst hubby and I were waiting to get into The Stuff of Legend. I initially thought it was an online shop, but kept it to have a look on my way home on the train and decided to join.
Outside of Doctor Who, I married my beautiful husband in March, on our 20th anniversary.
We have an ‘old gent’ cat, Harry.
He’s named after Houdini but, being 17 years old, his escapology days are over.
We also have a rescue dog, Shaggy, who is about 4 - 5 years old.
I live in Reading, which is west of London, and I work as a Learning and Development Consultant in a national charity.
Anything else you’d like to know, feel welcome to ask, as I feel like this is already too long!
