Those might be old enough that no one is going to care if we post the text every day.
Only just got round to ordering a copy but excited to join in with this shortly!
Decide Your Destiny: The Spaceship Graveyard - Page 1
You are in the TARDIS with the Doctor and Martha. You are there by mistake. Sort of. You had investigated a strange blue box, and when you looked inside, you found a large control room. Before realizing where you were, the Doctor activated the controls and took off. At first, you liked the idea of taking a quick trip through Time and Space. Now, youāre not so sure.
Alarms are flashing, and thereās a lot of turbulence. When Martha asks the Doctor whatās going on, he answers that he doesnāt know!
Suddenly, the engines stop, and everything goes silent.
āOh dear!ā mutters the Doctor.
The Doctor pulls some levers and pumps a bicycle pump.
How do the engines respond?
- Fire back into activity (63)
- Nothing happens (79)
Here we go!
Iām reading along from my copy, which has a slightly fleshed out version of the scene!
And Iām finally a companion now!
Iām in an adventurous mood, so I hope the engines wonāt respond!
Somehow the engines not responding feels more logical in a dw storyā¦
I want the engines to respond, otherwise we might just be sitting here for the whole story!
I must block the possibility of running away, both for me and the TARDIS. So sorry my dear engine, please just have a nice restļ½
Sorry shauny, seems like we are gonna sitting by the engine for the whole story
I thought given the fact that I am a character in the story I would be making decisions for that character and not the universe.
Iām choosing to believed that my character is almost omnipotent and can literally control the outcomes of random events with their mind to cope with my disappointment.
Yeah sorry Shauny the engines doing nothing is the most likely DW thing ever
But do we want this story to turn into the most Doctor Who story ever?
Hopefully this is an anomaly, I thought the same thing. If we make decisions for the universe then it might as well just be Ten and Martha.
The TARDIS is pitching about like a small rowing boat in a raging storm.
ā¦and weāre off! Or not. Depending on the voting.
Now, thing is, I agree with @shauny that we need the engines to fire upā¦
ā¦but, the book is called The Spaceship Graveyard so maybe a dead TARDIS will get us to wherever that is more quicklyā¦
Decisions, decisionsā¦
On the subject of the choice effecting the universe, Iāve heard this is a problem throughout the Decide your Destiny books.
Which sort of reframes the series as stories about gods posing as children so they can board the TARDIS and play games with the Doctor, which actually sounds a lot more interesting than any of the Decide your Destiny books.
Anyway, Iām voting for the TARDIS to not come back on, feels like the natural progression.
Also voting for it not to come back on, just feels right I guess

Your last choice: Nothing happens
The Doctor and Martha discover a power drain on the nearest planet, leading to an emergency landing. The shipās console malfunctions, leaving them stranded.
How does the Doctor open the TARDIS Door?
- With the Sonic Screwdriver (96)
- With a crank handle (60)
I donāt feel like the Doctor would use the screwdriver like that.
āSomething is draining our power,ā answers the Doctor.
I tend to agree with Tian on this.
