I’ve recently been on a short stories kick, and after finishing the BBC Short Trips books decided to check out the Decalog series.
In my copy of Decalog 1, on page 168, halfway through a story, (Book of Shadows) it suddenly goes back to 137, right back in the middle of the previous story (Scarab of Death). The next story is then Book of Shadows again but in the same place it changes to the next story in the collection, Fascination. This means my copy is missing the second half of The Book of Shadows and the first half of Fascination.
I wondered if this was a common or widely known about printing error- in other words, if I sought out another copy of this book, would I be likely to run into the same error? Knowing my luck, I probably would…

Oh, wow! No, my copy does not have that problem. That’s no good!
(Funny, but it affects my favourite story in the collection (Shadows) and my least favourite (Fascination)…)
