I enjoyed the setting of this story, as well as the set up for Emily. Like Charley we see the Doctor save a person who was supposed to die and is now traveling with them in order to deal with the consequences of it. The overall plot was okay, but I admit I had to reread it last night to remember what the plot points were because I really only remembered Emily’s character when I saw the name on the comic club list.

I actually can’t believe I haven’t heard of this comic until today!
As a huge silent era film fanatic this is my perfect niche.
I can’t add much to the conversation about this comic, I’m not picky and simply had a blast reading this on my lunch break. The plot was okay, to me it shines brightest with it’s puns and movie references. I also prefer Lloyd’s films over Chaplin’s, but that’s not a reason to shoot him now, is it?
I think Emily has the potential to be a really awesome companion, I always enjoy a character from pre-modern times, and she specifically already proves to be an interesting person. I’m hooked enough to keep reading more immediately, and considering I’m not really a comic book fan at all that really says something!
Ended up giving it a solid 4/5

I unfortunately found this one quite dull… I think the art style not being a favourite of mine didn’t help. I had that problem with a lot of the IDW comics – I find my eyes sliding off the pages!
