Choose the Future - Terror Moon - Read-Along 3

This is without a doubt the best CYOA we have read. Feels like it happening something on every page.

I think that we should go to the spaceship. Feels safer than a cave.

Ah but caves and Doctor Who!
Canā€™t go wrong with a good cave. Just think of An Unearthly Child, The Daleks, The Mutants, Androzani to name a few!

Caves all the way!

In my head The Doctor hears about the cave option and deduces some excellent piece of reasoning which pushes him towards the caves. Logically I think we could end up (and this is just speculation)clearing the threat with less risk of infecting other crew members..

Caves kinda sounds like a dead end to me, letā€™s get the heck off this rock

This is actually a difficult choice, but Iā€™m going to go with the caves. I feel like itā€™s the less logical option and therefore the one the Doctor would take

Caves! Caves are fun! Loads of dangery-wangery and exciting stuff in caves! Theyā€™ve been part of DW from the very beginning, so letā€™s keep up the tradition.

But yeah, the choice was hard to make!

And I really like how catchy the writing is, despite the short length of it. I can hear Capaldi speak those lines, and I like Jiao already!

Be not afraid. Worst case scenario we regenerate into Jodie

Plot twist of the decade: Jodie appeared in a CYOA book before she appeared on TV - and no one noticed, because no one got that ending!

Last choice: you think he should head for the caves instead

Jiao leads the Doctor through the cold, dank cave system beneath the lab, warning that itā€™s easy to get lost. As they reach a fork in the tunnels, Jiao suggests taking a lift to the outer labs and the escape shuttle, but the Doctor hesitates, wondering if it might be safer for her if he went alone.

I like it when the Doctor has a partner. Donā€™t leave Jiao!

I think this might be one of those ā€œnot really a choiceā€ moments because whenever the Doctor tries to leave someone behind they come anyway. Just guessing.

I think theyā€™ve really capture Capaldiā€™s voice in this story.

No, weā€™re taking Jiao with us! I like her! Weā€™re not leaving her alone in these creepy caves!

Last choice: you think the Doctor should stay with Jiao instead

The Doctor follows Jiao through the outer sections of the lab complex until they reach the shuttle, where the stubby, rocket-shaped vessel stands on the launch pad with wisps of steam drifting from its thrusters. Looking back down the corridor, he hears the angry buzz of the nanite cloud gaining on them, while Jiao urgently punches the security-code sequence to open the last airlock.

Jiao and the Doctor rush into the shuttle as the nanites swarm behind them. When the nanites breach the passenger bay mid-flight, Garon calls to seal the cockpit, but the Doctor demands, ā€œLand the shuttle!ā€
