Choose the Future - Terror Moon - Read-Along 3

Well, that was a graphic description of the body. We should definitely know more about it, before going after the monster!

To anyone just following along with the summaries. I would recommend buying the book. It looks like this is going to be the best one yet, at least it is written in beautiful and creepy language! You can buy it as an e-book and start today.

Totally agree! You couldn’t do this writing justice with a summary.

I do however support exploring the scuttling. What if someone finds us standing over the body!

Naah, we’ll just wave our sonic at them and we’ll be fine!

I think the Doctor has been in this exact situation for enough times they deserve a trope  (Do we have that already?)

We have: Doctor under suspicion of murder

Well, this very interesting already

I want to know more about that body!

And scuttling is sometimes best left alone for a bit, in case it’s a shy creature

EWWWWW let’s just go back to the Tardis haha I don’t want to be with a scary body

I don’t think you should stop and smell the roses (or corpses) when there is something scuttling around in the darkness :scream:

You don’t? How would we push the plot forward then? /j

But we’re a doctor and a scientist, not a monster hunter! So we do what we do best - figure stuff out!

Last choice: you think the Doctor should examine the body further

The Doctor scans the bones and detects nanites. ‘Malignocites,’ says Jiao, a research assistant, as she enters; ‘Malignant, indeed,’ replies the Doctor, ‘these machines devoured your professor.’

  • If you think the Doctor should warn Jiao to stay back
  • If you think he should get her to take a closer look

The first sentence was “There’s not much left of the body to examine” and I thought “Oh no, wrong choice!!!” :joy: :joy:

Anyway, we gained some information, and gained a potential ally. I’d hate for her to be eaten by the monsters this early on, so let’s warn her. We’ve examined the body enough.

Yes, I think she’ll be helpful as an ally and we’ve probably got the most important information from the body, so I say to warn her

Why would we want to go closer to the creepy body!?!?!?

To make new friends of course. Nothing bounds people more like a good autopsy

Exactly! Just think of Doctors Owen Harper and Martha Jones - they totally bonded over an autopsy

The best thing is always to do the opposite of Owen—the worst character in the whole Whoniverse.

Sounds like you speak from experience…

Now, now, we don’t want to hear such nonsense in this thread!
