Choose the Future - Terror Moon - Read-Along 3

Oh. It’s over.

I agree with @15thDoctor’s review, it started so well but flailed in the end.

I think we clearly got a “bad” ending though - our companions all left behind and the Doctor wishing he could go back and change it.

I will try again one day. Yes, I shall come back. Until then, there must be no regrets, no tears, no anxieties.

Thank you @Tian!

So… is Kate Stewart really in some versions of this story?? Does anyone know more?

I just opened on a random page that has Kate in it, so she must be!

I agree with @15thDoctor, the story started off so well but it just ends up falling apart

Good thing is we can always re-read it and take a different path. That’s what it’s all about, isn’t it?

Hang on now, wait…these Malignocites were devouring people, right? And now they’re, um, eating brainwaves and controlling people?! As this book unceremoniously hurtled us to an ending, it seemed like the very nature of the story completely changed. And I’ve already commented on my feelings about sections with no choices at the end, but this was the worst. It shoved us into a narrative that didn’t follow from what had preceded it, and dumped us at an ending,

I agree with the comments that this started out pretty engaging, but, in this visit at least, went off the rails at the end.

Still think this is a fun activity, though, so I’ll go pull Alien Arena off the shelf in anticipation.
