Carrot juice (and cheese)?

I’m with you on this one, I only rarely eat tomato, although I really like meatballs in a tomato sauce
Tomato juice is great though, even if I prefer cranberry juice.

Love tomatoes raw but used to absolutely hate them as sauce or cooked or whatever, my brother was the other way around. I used to eat all my pasta with just cheese as a kid. Nowadays I like the taste but I still find it very strong, so I put like miniscule amounts of tomato sauce on things

I am not saying that much cheese doesn’t make most food better, but you can do an amazing tomato sauce without it.

I don’t remember if I’ve ever had carrot juice, but when my sister was little she drank so much of it so often it actually turned her skin orange.

Her skin went back to normal when she stopped drinking it thankfully.

As an American we are required by law to put cheese on most dishes…

As an American, I can confirm that is not cheese.

One thing for non US people to bear in mind is that while cheese in a spray thing is a thing, as is “American cheese”, people in the US eat plenty of regular cheese, and there plenty of cheese from the US that isn’t what we’d call “American cheese”, too.

The “American cheese” is just largely made to be cheese that melts easily on burgers or in sandwiches and such.

I’m far more likely to go get some cheddar or mozzarella or montgomery jack or pepper jack cheese, or things with feta cheese in them, etc…

It’s so hard to get cheddar that’s strong enough in the US :sob: I have to go to the cheese shop to get cheddar I like and it’s hard to find wensleydale also :sob::sob: but you are right, cheese in the US isn’t as terrible as the rest of the world jokes it is

I do definitely like “extra sharp” cheddar…

I’d been making a lot of things with tortillas and beans and shredded cheese for a good bit. Recently, I’ve been putting in more onions, and some green onions and lettuce and such and omitting the cheese, though.

Do we need a cheese thread lol

I adore cheese. A really strong cheddar. A nice stilton. Warm melty camembert. Anything but mild plastic cheese.

We could just make this a cheese and carrot juice thread…

Although, there is a food and recipes thread as well.

Isn’t that the only cheese recipe that counts?

My wife and I love to have cheese & wine evenings occasionally. We have a great little cheese store in our market hall as well, and we love to support them.

I don’t eat cheese, am not a big fan of “vegan cheese” unless it’s on a pizza, but I tried this recently and I’ve fed it to loads of people who come round and they are amazed, it tastes exactly like blue cheese

My husband wrote to the people that make it (two Welsh ladies) and said he wanted to invest in their company :joy:

But it is delicious and refreshing, if you make your celery juice own in the morning.
