I read this half a year ago. I don’t remember a thing about it. Gave ut 3/5. I need to write notes when I do clubs early.

This book is the epitomy of a middle-ground story. I read it years ago and can’t really remember much about it.

I’m slowly making my way through this. My first thought was: wow, finally a story set in Africa! Like properly in Africa.

I’ve read about a fifth of the book, and so far, they’ve spent the majority of it inside caves and on fields, with nothing concrete to properly anchor it to Africa. So that’s a potentially interesting setting wasted!

Sludging through this (only on chapter three or four), and nothing interesting yet. Thankfully the book a written in a way that I can get through quickly.

Most of the NSAs are written like that since they are primarily targeted at a younger audience. This also means that they tend to be very safe and formulaic, unlike the VNAs.

And I’ve finally finished it!

I have a lot of thoughts…
