Yes Amy is so damaged and complex I love her.
I had the same reaction as @Shayleen here, itâs very strange how little Amy and Rory content weâve had since that era ended. I would be surprised if itâs anything more than a coincidence, but itâs still odd to think about.
Honestly, I think both Moffat eras are pretty underserved as far as EU content goes - some of that is unavoidable, due to actors seemingly not wanting to come back, but I do also think the BBC tends to favour the first RTD era (and, to a lesser extent, the Chibnall era). Not out of malice or to purposely avoid Moffat stuff, but moreso because I imagine they see RTD1 as the peak of modern Doctor Whoâs popularity. As the current hiatus rumbles on, Iâll be interested to see what kind of non-Big Finish EU content continues to be commissioned.
I think we will get Peter Capaldi. Especially if they get Jenna Coleman onboard. They can pitch it as a reunion with old cast members, which is partly what encouraged David Tennant to do Big Finish.
I hope they use the Rufus Hound Monk. He has been amazing in the role.
Its him that they showed in the trailer IIRC!
No offense to Hound but I want Graeme Garden Monk back
Big Finish July release schedule

July 17: Fugitive Doctor-Dead or Alive

Which trailer was that? I donât remember any confirmation of the Monk.
Must have missed that. Thanks for sharing. Hopefully the Monk gets his own CDs and isnât just included in another Masterâs trilogy.
Every character featured in the trailer had their own trilogy, so its safe to say he will get his own 100% and as for CDâs all of Dark Gallifrey had them afaik.
Guessing Big Finish is getting annoyed with people discussing piracy particularly in regard to the 9DA and 13DA.
Maybe they shouldâve pressed more on the fact that their funds only go to themselves and doesnât fund anything else that theyâre being boycotted for? They do say that anyway, but couldâve been more clear.
Itâs piracy in general, I think, not so much CDs which only make up a small amount of sales. Itâs very difficult to combat in the current climate where it is so easy to access entertainment through non-legitimate means, coupled with a cost of living crisis.
Not quite sure about this, yes the funds go to themselves but there are other costs & overheads. & what do you mean by âfund anything else that theyâre being boycotted for?â
Very glad theyâve said this. Supported BF since I started listening when I was 16, 10 years ago and without the support they wouldnât exist. Contrary to what some people think they are a very small company.
I mean Iâd say theyâre pretty like, well promoted really. At least if you follow them/know I suppose. Itâs the same stories and they donât really add to them, so they canât really promote it constantly.
As in like, theyâre not funding anything directly to do with Palestine or Israel, or donating to anti-lgbt orgs.
Whatâs the point of a boycott like the Big Finish one when theyâre not even funding the things theyâre being criticized for.
As for their employees, you canât really control where they donate to or where they spend.
Who is boycotting them?
I think thats the problem in general for BF. Probably lots of potential fans who donât know they exist.
Also we have no idea if those people are still working for them. TAO probably but Noga we canât be sure until the 13DAâs end. They canât publicly announce theyâve not renewed contracts with people for reasons cause they could be sued.
Just look at their Twitter replies. Theyâve blocked alotta people sharing piracy links, who then view being blocked as a triumph or a win, something to celebrate.
