Big Finish Short Trips Appreciation Thread

Does anyone have any knowledge on the ‘Short Trips Rarities’ range?

I never see those stories being discussed, but one of them sounds really interesting.

Rarities were originally magazine or subscriber exclusives. After 2 years, they were made available to the public.

I put your suggestion to the writer of those two Jackie Tyler short trips, @shauny.

Think he’s a fan of the idea :joy:

I generally classify them as:

Paul Spragg Memorial
Series Sets
Single releases

I think the audio short trip section needs some love. A few of the releases have data from the original paper release on. And the sections are a bit of a mess. It’d be nice to just click on short trips and see all of them.

I use the system, as posted above, as my sorting method.

This is my original guide I used for my collection.

I’m going to go through what’s on the site and, using a spreadsheet, update various sets, dates, character etc.

Thanks, this was a huge slog to add to the site and I’m not happy with it, would really appreciate some help!

I’ll go through all of them and check dates, sets etc. I’ll put updated info on a spreadsheet so it’s easier to parse.

Do you want me to have it in the sets like the Wikipedia page? Easier than figuring out what was released in the rarities sets.

I’m not even sure how the sets should work so just do what you think is best and I’ll change it to match - thanks!

If I might ask a question– can Sets be added to the Short Trip books too? Like, each Decalog has a set all to itself which is great for easy browsing, but the BF Short Trips books are all in the one set which has over 400 stories. It would be lovely to have each book as its own set as well!

Totally understand that audio Short Trips are more popular so I get the focus on them  I just love the BF books an awful lot!

Yeah that’s just a case of there were a lot of stories to add which I did over several days and so I never thought to do this.

I’ll add it to my list

Edit: I also intend to create a set for each anthology book
