FINALLY!! I’ve been waiting for this to come on sale for like two years. Every time they’ve done a Torchwood sale, this wasn’t in it! I almost paid full price for it like a couple of months ago too! So glad I waited!!!

thank you for your work as always, ItsRobotNinja!
I’m glad Torchwood Fare Well is so late in the month. Means I have the full month to listen to Torchwood One Latter Days, rather than rushing through them!
I only have one boxset left of 8DA Uncharted, so I l’ll be all caught up there (very excited for Carole Ann Ford as Friend - that’s sure to mess with Alex’s head!)
I’m not caught up on the War Doctor, but the Rises boxsets have all been standalone, so I should be able to listen to that one no problem!
Very excited for this month! But I think what I’m most excited about is the 2nd Doctor and definitely not the real 8th Doctor meeting!

These are guesses? I was about to enter them on the site lol

Awww wait they’re guesses?! I was chuffed for a moment, planning out this month’s listens!

Yeah, I was going to delete them from it, but I got distracted.

Just a reminder to everyone; I don’t make these roundup posts. I only copy them from Reddit as some people don’t like going there. The relevant links are in the first post.

Are we still allowed to blame ItsRobotNinja though?
Give us a break, you know we can’t read!

And here I was, thinking you were JakeM917…

No. I don’t have their patience to compile it all.

Presumably the time war set is out first this month, because I’ve already had an email to say mine has been dispatched
7 Likes
And the preview is of it!
I’m curious is the ‘Whats new’ tab in order of release?
I assume not, because Uncharted 3 is second-from-last on the site at the moment. I’ve been waiting for the date email all day today, my guess would have been Rendition first, then Fear of the Light and Aegis in the first half of the month, followed by Uncharted 3, the Meddling Monks and Fare Well. It seems obvious that the Thirteenth Doctor will be out on the 13th at least (I hope!)
No it’s not, unfortunately. There is some mystical way it is ordered on there that I have yet to figure out.

That’s it I’m pre-ordering. I don’t need to hear anything else

I find this hysterical, especially comparing it to the Star Wars Special Editions. Does he not know how much Star Wars fans prefer the original versions and wish they were still readily available.

Podcast Notes
- A listener asks why the Eighth Doctor has two new companions this year rather than continuing/wrapping anything up with Audacity or Liv and Helen. Nick doesn’t seem to have detailed information on what’s going on with the Eighth Doctor Adventures, but says to trust Matt Fitton because “he’s cooking something up”.
- Nick doesn’t necessarily have a “check list” or requirements for a story from a specific era to feel like it comes from that era, it’s just a gut check.
- Nick has a reputation at Big Finish of not having much of an imagination when it comes to sort of “out there” ideas or concepts that don’t have a logical basis (think stories like 73 Yards). Nick always requires an explanation or at the very least an acknowledgement of not having an explanation. That being said, when Nick has a hang-up like this he will talk to producers or other creatives involved, see if it makes sense to them, and try to find a reason to say yes to an idea.
- A quite odd example he gives for not having a good explanation is the end of Victory of the Daleks, when Bracewell stops the detonation by having an emotional response. He thinks that there should have been some quick comment about his “emotional programming taking too much of a hold over its central processor”.
