Because the Master is such a endearing character…? 
No I know what you mean - but that’s what I like about the Dhawan Master. Controversial opinion, I think I prefer him to Missy who always struck me as a bit too arch (and I definitely prefer him to Jacobi).

Missy is hilarious and the storyline of her trying to be good is a great new take on the Master. War is a brilliant actor and can be so cold and calculating, absolutely brilliant. Spy Master is just cliché and way too OTT.

Brave to say Shauny but I actually completely agree. I really love the War Master and Missy, and I found Dhawan to be a very compelling actor to watch but I didn’t much care for the characterisation of his Master at all

For me it’s something like War > Missy > Simm > Spy or at least for now but Big Finish did make me start loving War more so I wouldn’t close out the option from the new sets especially where they are going with direction is definitely going to be fabulous. If they can reinvent Sixie, I’m sure they can do the same with this Master too!
