Hello all, and welcome to the best one time (TV) Villain of the Fourteenth Doctor? What,what what! This is the continuation of 14 mini tournaments to find representatives for each Doctor before facing off in an ultimate one time villain death match!
How you vote is entirely up to you. Do you base it off how villainous they are? Which of the two would win in a head to head fight? Which story you like better? Do you factor in your feelings/portrayals in other mediums? To all those questions I leave it up to you and how you want to vote.
By my calculations out of the 3 villains only 1 is ineligible. Which means this matchup is the final matchup
Also SPOILERS in case you haven’t gotten to/finished Twonnent’s era as some of these villains may be twists in that serial

The Meep being adapted from the DWM Comics is already muddying things for me. Besides, the version that we got on-screen, while somewhat distinct from its comic counterpart, didn’t offer much beyond a standard NuWho creature feature; the Meep was very much the mascot of the story but took a backseat to the return of Tennant and Tate, which, while perhaps a different matter of discussion, does have an effect on the impact and overall quality of the character, in my opinion.
The Meep certainly isn’t helped by the fact that the Not-Things as a concept really appeal to me. Formless things from an unknown part of creation who assimilate via mimicry without fully understanding nuance, thereby existing as the epitome of the uncanny? Sign me up! It helps that I vastly prefer the story of ‘Wild Blue Yonder’ to ‘The Star Beast’, not least because it allows the Fourteenth Doctor to actually be established as an incarnation distinct from the Tenth Doctor. Forcing him to confront his trauma by putting the personification of a mirror in front of him is so narratively simple yet so satisfying!

The fact this is even a contest.
The Not-Things are one of about three genuinely great concepts RTD’s come up with since he came back and probably the only one he managed to execute near flawlessly.
Beep the Meep is not only from a comic but also a grossly over-performed and underwritten antagonist who remains fun for all of five seconds.

In my opinion, Wild Blue Yonder is the only truly good episode to come out of RTD2. The Not-Things are genuinely great DW monsters.

Beep the Meep is a good character, but the TV episode didn’t do it justice, despite a great performance from the one and only Miriam Margoyles. The Not-Things, on the other hand, are a brilliantly creepey concept, well-reliased snd effectively used. Easy winner for me.

Not-things. They are indeed creepy and Wild Blue Yonder is the better episode in general. Also mildly disappointed that Beep the Meep is firmly cemented as having white fur now. He’s blue to me
