Shouldn’t the Sensorite villain be in here?
I was literally about to put them in the poll and then it just zoomed out of my brain!

I wouldn’t say the Sensorites are the villains, rather the Administrator.
I think the Daleks are very effective in season 1, as are both Tegana and Tlotoxl, though Tlotoxl takes it for me.
Maybe I should have phrased this poll better.
From now on, read monsters as creatures.
Ooh, now that makes it tricky. I wouldn’t say the Administrator is a favourite villain but the Sensorites are a really interesting alien species. Don’t know how I can compare them to the human villains so leaving my answer as is!
Now I’m just sitting here thinking about who the villain is in “The Aztecs”.
It’s actually Barbara isn’t it?
She prances around claiming to be a living god trying to force her own morals on an unwilling foreign culture.
Tlotoxl is actually totally justified in his actions, he’s the antagonist of that story but not really a villain.
Anyway, 1 vote for Tlotoxl here

It’s okay, Delta is the only one who remembers the villain of An Unearthly Child anyway 
Tlotoxl is one of the GOATS, and the Daleks deserve a vote as well, even though they will be much better later on.
Tegana would be doing better if the story existed
My vote for Tegana represents my actual vote, the true villain of Marco Polo; trying not to die of thirst in the middle of the desert. I love how low-stakes yet materially horrifying some of the threats are in Season 1. Honorable mention goes to the secondary antagonist of The Daleks, dying of radiation poisoning.
My vote goes to the TARDIS fast return switch…
(Also, yes, Barbara is the actual villain of The Aztecs. That’s one of the reasons the serial is so good.)
She’s as much the villain of The Aztecs as the Meddling Monk is of The Time Meddler…
