Technically, (small spoiler to answer your question)the dogma virus doesn’t get resolved until series six, but it’s a really small part of the plot of the episodes from now on. Series 4 is definitely my favourite series so far and it has a whole new and different concept, I would recommend that for sure. Series 5 and 6 are a bit less great in my opinion but they do have absolutely stellar parts too imo. I’d say to listen to series 4 and then see how you feel about it

Correct. Fortuantely s4 is one of the greatest things ever invented, and 5-6 are solid. S4 puts them in alt universes and is brilliant

I feel the same way. It took me weeks to get through this episode and am not that excited to get back for season 4.

It’s weird but I remember, at the time, S4 not getting a lot of love because it is very different from the previous three seasons set up. It’s a bit like how I thought Anti-Genesis was generally loathed and yet around here it’s loved. Isn’t it funny how you can get a skewed perspective on people’s opinions if you only listen to one group of people…

I kind of do :person_raising_hand:

Love Mark Gatiss’ Master in it though

See I’ve only ever seen people be a bit meh towards Anti-Genesis so I was surprised when I thought it was fine. And I can understand why people might have been wtf because it is quite a tone and style shift, but these days I rarely see anyone dislike it

I’m probably going to relisten to S1-3 and then jump onto S4. One of my goals this year is to listen to all of Gallifrey.

What a terrible Way to end a Series for five Years. This is quite literal the Level of “What if Season 22’s Ending was the last Thing we have seen for Years”, this is just a bit bafflingly.

As for the Story… Very Mixed on it, honestly. There are Bits I love, and there are just some great Moments with our Leads. I LOVE the Moment where Leela briefly gets her Eyesight back But yeah, there is just something which stops me from fully enjoying this Story, and I am not quite sure how to properly articulate it. I suppose in a way I am with @sircarolyn on that one. I think it fails being a satisfying Follow-Up to what the previous Entry did set up. Really, I think it’s okay at best.
Glad to see others enjoy it very highly!!

Not the biggest fan of this one. As everyone else said the pig rats are weird and nonsense and come out of nowhere. I found the small time skip between Mindbomb and this a little strange, though fine enough I guess. The Nokia gag had me laughing and I love Arkadian, plus the usual performances. Overall it was a fun enough time.

And then that final act was honestly ridiculous. I found it impossible to follow with all the twists and turns, and just generally honestly confusing as hell. And ending the way it did… Especially considering you’ve all said there was a huge hiatus too…

Not even my love of Brax could save how baffled I was in the final 15-20 mins.

What a mess of a story. Mad how Mindbomb, my favourite Gallifrey story yet, came from maybe the weakest series.

7/10
