It definitely is! Bigeneration was the first thing that popped into my head and it’s things like this that make RTD’s suggestion that each Doctor bigenerated tie into established lore and stories more.
It’s okay. I love some Interactions between Iris and the Doctor (especially relating to Adric), but overall this is very much a meh Release for me. Great Cast, solid execution, fine enough Story. Very much average in my Eyes.
I’m about three quarters of the way through this. Iris is cool in concept, but the execution is grating. The story is ‘meh’. I’m still waiting for something to happen.
It does kind of feel like something eventually happens… in the last five minutes
Just finished it. I suppose if Iris is your thing, then this one will appeal to you. I just found her annoying. For the first hour it was just her prattling on. Manning gives her all to the role, which I suppose is a good thing
This was 1 1/2 hours that could have been done in 45 minutes. I was constantly waiting for something to happen, but it never really did.
The cast does a great job, but Davison seems like he is half-asleep throughout the recording.
The audio mixing was a bit wonky in this one. Levels seem to move around during sentences at random.
I am interested in more of the Excelis saga, but mostly out of curiosity if it gets better.
I love my aunty Iris to be honest I don’t really have any more thoughts on this today cause I couldn’t concentrate at all well earlier and didn’t really catch what actually happened, but Iris is a delight
